Inclusive Orthodoxy Newsletter

June 2008

To the saints of Cyberspace who are also faithful in Christ Jesus: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Updates:

I want to first apologize for there being no May issu of the Inclusive Orthodoxy newsletter. I was so busy with the last few weeks of my studies here at seminary that I did not get around to the newsleter. This June issue is also late because from June 2-24 I was away at Holden Village (www.holdenvillage.org), a community nestled in the Cascade Mountains of Washington. No television, to radio, no cell phones!

My visit to Holden was the first part of a project I am doing titled "Sacred Earth: Re-rooting in Nature as Sacrament and Source" in which I am exploring the bridges between our faith and a deep reverence for the Earth. It was also a wonderful time to reconnect with myself!

In terms of the ministry work, the third printing of my Bible study is on its way from the press. If you would like to order copies in bulk for Bible studies or to have available as a resource for parishioners, copies are available for $1 each and can be ordered on the website.

Also, next month Sanctified: An Anthology of Poetry by LGBT Christians, a project I have been working on for almost a year, will be available for purchase. It is the first anthology of LGBT Christian poetry and will feature works by some of our community's finest poets. It will be 142 pages and cost $15. I'll send out the press release to you all when it's available, or you can subscribe to received notifications on the anthology at www.sanctifiedanthology.com
